The Lion and the Deathless Dark by Carissa Broadbent is the 5th book of the author’s Crown of Nyaxia series. The story follows Kyrene, who scrapes by as a bounty hunter. She makes a mistake in her grief, becoming a target for gods and mortals alike. For revenge and survival, she has to make a deal with Septimus, a vampire prince. I loved reading the previous books, and can’t wait to start this new duet series.
The Odyssey by Homer
The Odyssey by Homer is something I am genuinely going to try reading. I’ve read the story and heard it in different versions, but never dared to read the actual poem. After watching the movie last month, I feel like I should give reading it a shot. This epic poem follows Odysseus and his ten-year-long journey after the Trojan War to find his way back home. Faced with mythical creatures and the wrath of Poseidon’s curse, Odysseus must deal with these challenges to get home.
