Realm of Stone and Starlight by C. L. Mecca.
I received a copy of Realm of Stone and Starlight by C. L. Mecca from NetGalley. This fantasy romance book is part of a series, but I am going to read it as a standalone. The romantasy book follows the story of the heir to Gyoria, Terran, a prince hardened by responsibility and his father’s hatred for Aetherians. Things start to change when Lady Lyra, an Aetherian noble, enters his life with secrets, and her presence threatens his carefully built walls. I was extremely intrigued by the premise, even if I am jumping to the 4th book; so far, I haven’t felt it is an issue.
A Jury of Her Peers by Susan Glaspell.
I randomly picked A Jury of Her Peers by Susan Glaspell. The story is loosely based on the 1900 murder of John Hossack. A case Glaspell covered as a journalist. This story is seen as a feminist mystery because the women are able to understand the clues and solve the mystery that the male characters cannot. I don’t really know much about the author; I liked the title, so I picked it.
Stay With Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Stay With Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout is the fourth book of her Wait for You series. I really enjoyed the first two books – Wait For You and Be With Me, so I was excited to start the next one. The contemporary romance story follows 21-year-old Calla, who carries emotional scars from living in an unstable home and keeps her secrets close to her heart. A trip back to her hometown puts her in the path of Jax, plus her past is threatening to collide with her present.
