My reading list for the month of November.
Out of Sight by Serenity Bea
I received a copy of Out of Sight by Serenity Bea from NetGalley. This contemporary romance follows the story of Rowan Skye and Silas Hart. Rowan has spent her life quietly, staying away from any spotlight. Meanwhile, Silas is a rockstar. When he crashes into Rowan’s life to hide from his success for a while, they find an unexpected connection. This story intrigued me because of the opposites-attract and slow-burn romance it promises.
Love So Hot by Marquita Valentine
Love So Hot by Marquita Valentine is a friends-to-lovers contemporary romance. This is the 1st book of her Lawson Brothers series. The story follows Sydney McKnight, who is tired of guys just seeing her as a friend. She wants to push her boundaries and show that there are different sides to her. This is where her childhood friend and secret crush, Brody Lawson, comes into the picture. Meanwhile, Brody has been in love with Sydney for years, and now she comes to him for help; it’s a chance he has to take. I generally like the small-town and friends-to-lovers tropes, so I am excited for this book.
The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde
The Selfish Giant is a short story written by Oscar Wilde. This story is a fairy tale about an angry giant who builds high walls around his beautiful garden to keep the children out. The cruelty of this act leaves the garden in a permanent winter. However, one day, some children manage to sneak into the garden, bringing warmth to the space. I enjoy Wilde’s writing, so I think it will be a good read.
