Currently Reading (July ’24). #TheRoyalLibrarian #NetGalley

My reading list for the month of July.

The Royal Librarian by Daisy Wood.

I received a copy of The Royal Librarian by Daisy Wood from NetGalley. This is a historical fiction novel that is set in two timelines. In 1940, Sophie Klein was placed at the Royal Library at Windsor Castle to foil a suspected plan. In the present day, Lacey Jones finds a mysterious letter in her beloved grandmother’s things, stamped with the Windsor Castle crest. I loved reading The Forgotten Bookshop in Paris by Daisy Wood, and now, I cannot wait to read The Royal Librarian.

Typhoon by Joseph Conrad.

Typhoon by Joseph Conrad is an adventure novella. I started reading this book last month, got sidetracked by other books, and did not pick it up again. I am almost halfway through it, so I plan to finish it in July. Typhoon is loosely based on Joseph Conrad’s life experiences at sea. The story follows a steamship and its crew, and they run in with a tropical cyclone.

The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori.

The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori is the first book of her Made series. Elena is soft and romantic at heart in a world which is the opposite. Nicholas Russo is part of the underworld in New York, like her family, and arranged to marry Elena’s sister. But when Nicholas and Elena’s paths keep crossing, it becomes difficult to ignore the feelings that arise. I added this book to my TBR sometime back and I am finally going to read it.
