June TBR (’24).

I have added a lot of books to my ever-growing TBR this month. Some books are part of ongoing series I love while some are completely new and randomly discovered by me.

Daring and the Duke by Sarah MacLean.

Daring and the Duke by Sarah MacLean is the third book of the Bareknuckle series. I read the two books out of order; Brazen and the Beast the second book first. I have already started Wicked and the Wallflower. I can’t wait to get to this one. Grace is a character we know more about through her brothers and the same with Ewan, Duke of Marwick. They have a complicated history and I really want to see how their story unfolds.

Happy Place by Emily Henry.

I have never read any of the books written by Emily Henry before but I have heard good reviews. Happy Place is a second-chance romance for Wyn and Harriet. They broke up six months ago but haven’t told their friends yet. They decide to pretend to be a couple for a week for their tradition of the annual holiday with friends at a cottage in Maine. It gives off romcom vibes and I think it will be a fun book to read.

Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn.

Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn is the fourth and final book of the Blood of the Fae Series. I read and loved all three books- Queen of Roses, Court of Claws, and Empress of the Fae. This retelling of Arthur’s story with Fae has been a wonderful surprise for me. I loved to see the growth of Morgan and Draven’s characters individually and together over the last three books. I am excited to see how the story will come to a full circle.

A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole.

A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole is a paranormal romance book and the first of the series Immortals of the Dark. A werewolf Lachlain MacRieve has waited centuries for his mate only to find out that she is a vampire. Emmaline Troy is a half-vampire; she is sheltered from the truth of the past. Emmaline and Lachlain’s paths cross and past secrets are uncovered. It’s been a while since I have read anything involving werewolves or vampires. This book sounds intriguing. I don’t know what to expect from it.
