My reading list for March.
Court of Claws by Briar Boleyn.
I received a copy of the Court of Claws by Briar Boleyn from NetGalley. I enjoyed reading the first book in this Blood of the Fae series, Queen of Roses. Court of Claws will continue the story of Morgan and Kairos Draven from where it was left off in the first book. Morgan wakes up in a place unfamiliar to her; Draven is not who she thought he was. I can’t wait to start this book; it’s exciting.
The Man Who Would Be King by Rudyard Kipling.
The Man Who Would Be King by Rudyard Kipling is a story about two British adventures in India when it was a British colony. They end up becoming Kings of Kafiristan, a remote part of Afghanistan. I have never read anything written by Kipling. I enjoyed watching The Jungle Book as a kid, and sadly, that’s my only exposure to Kipling’s work. This seems to be a novella, so it is a good place to start exploring the author’s works.
Stolen Heir by Sophie Lark.
Stolen Heir by Sophie Lark is the second book of the Brutal Birthright series. I haven’t read the first one, but this can read as a standalone too. This novel is a mafia romance, a take on the beauty and the beast and enemies to-lovers trope. All three are fascinating to me in a romance book. I am just a couple of chapters in, and I am hooked. I can’t wait to see how this one turns out.
