My reading list for the month.
Beneath the Starlit Sea by Nicola Bea.
I received a copy of Beneath the Starlit Sea by Nicola Bea from NetGalley. The story follows a witch and a doctor as they figure out what’s murdering men near the city of Sjökanten. Ilyse has her magical power restricted by the King, and Garit is a medical practitioner. A fantasy novel with a forbidden romance; I am very intrigued by this book.
The Stranger Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson is a gothic novella. This book has been on my reading list for a while, and I have finally started reading it. The concept of duality of good and evil in human nature is an extremely interesting concept. From what I have read so far, it blends gothic elements well with psychological aspects. I can’t wait to finish reading this book.
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.
The Last Song was the first novel I read written by Nicholas Sparks almost a decade ago when my friend recommended it. I loved it then because it seemed more about the characters and the family dynamic than just romance. The novel has been on my shelf for years. Now, I am going to re-read over a weekend to unwind.
