My reading list for the month of August.
Irresistible by Darcy Burke
Irresistible by Darcy Burke is the 6th book of the Phoenix Club Series. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and I am very excited to read it. This book focuses on the characters of Lord Dougal MacNair and Jessamine Goodfellow. They are forced to work together by the Foreign Office on a secret mission. When they have to be around each other all the time and act as a couple, they are pushed to the brink.
To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf.
To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf has been on m reading list for a long time. The novel is divided into three sections. The narration of the novel is introspective and philosophical, with the plot a second to it. It focuses on the Ramsay family, who are visiting the Isle of Skye. I am just a few pages in; the story is more about the characters and their complexities within and with each other.
The Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs.
The Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs is a horror short story. I vaguely remember reading this story or starting to read it years ago, but I don’t remember much about it. So, I am going to read it again. The person with the monkey’s paw is granted three wishes, but it comes with a price. The main characters of the story are Mr. and Mrs. White and their son Herbert.
