My reading list for the month.
- Only a Monster by Vanessa Len.
It’s been a crazy month. Sadly, I didn’t get enough time to read. This book is the story of 16-year-old Joan. She and he family are actually monsters and it is up to her to save them. I was so excited to read Only a Monster. A fantasy novel after a long time and I even started it, but I couldn’t finish. It has blended fantasy, teen fiction, and romance really well so far. I can’t wait to complete this one.
2. Daisy Miller by Henry James.
Daisy Miller by Henry James is a novella that follows Daisy Miller, the protagonist. Daisy, a beautiful American young girl in Europe is being courted by an expatriate Winterbourne. It’s her flirtations that get in the way of this courtship and is frowned upon by her peers in Switzerland and Italy. I enjoyed reading Henry James’ previous works; I think I will like reading this one too.
3. The Choice by Nicholas Sparks.
I have read a few of Nicholas Sparks’ novels by now. The Choice has been sitting on my shelf for a long time now and it felt like a good time to read it. This is a love story set in North Carolina. It follows Travis Parker and Gabby Holland. I like reading Nicholas Sparks novels when I want a lighter read. His novels are perfect weekend reads for me.
