My reading list for the month of January.
- Intolerable by Darcy Burke.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. Intolerable by Darcy Burke is the third book of the Phoenix Club Series. I read the first book of the series, Improper last year, and since then, I have been waiting for the other books. This book follows Cassandra and Wexford’s story. The characters, the historical setting, and the romance are the draw of Burke’s writing. I have enjoyed reading the series so far, and I hope it will continue with this book.
- The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a short story written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I have loved reading Fitzgerald’s works, and that is the reason this story is on my list. The story follows Benjamin Button, who is born as a 70-year-old in 1860, Baltimore. The concept of the story is unique, and I am very intrigued to see how it all pans out.
- The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult.
After My Sister’s Keeper, I wanted to read the other works of Jodi Picoult. It is how I landed on The Storyteller. The story follows Sage Singer, a baker, who meets an elderly gentleman, Josef Weber in a grief support group. Sage and Josef form an unlikely friendship and care about each other. Josef reveals a big secret to Sage which shakes up her world. I have already started reading it, and it is really interesting. It keeps you hooked.
