Currently Reading (November ’21) #WhatMightHaveBeen #NetGalley

My reading list for this month.

  1. What Might Have Been by Holly Miller.

I received an ebook from NetGalley of hat Might Have Been by Holly Miller. The plot of the novel is something that immediately caught my attention. I like the what-if format in stories, especially if it is done well. The book follows Lucy, who, after a horrible day is drowning her sorrows at a bar. She sees her ex Max walk past the window. She has a decision to make; step outside and talk to him or let him go. I can’t wait to start reading this book, it seems very promising.

2. The Witch by Anton Chekhov.

Anton Chekhov is an author I have been meaning to read more of for years. I have read a few short stories here and there over the years; I enjoyed reading them. I like the writing and narration style of his works. The Witch is a short story written by Chekhov. It’s about an unhappy couple; they are visited by a postman and his companion during a harsh storm.

3. The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald.

The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald is a children’s fantasy novel. I read that it is one of the first fantasy books of the modern period, published in 1872. I haven’t read any other works by the author. The story follows a princess, Irene, who lives a pretty isolated life and becomes curious about life outside the castle. I have already started reading this novel, and it is really interesting.
