Currently Reading (October ’21). #CrackedPots #MyBestFriendsWedding #NetGalley

  1. At Peace (The ‘Burg #2) by Kristen Ashley.

I have read a couple of books written by Kristen Ashley before, and I enjoyed reading them. At Peace (The ‘Burg #2) is the second book in the Burg series, but I am going to read it as a standalone. The premise is very interesting. It follows a widow Violet Winters, whose husband was murdered by a madman; forcing her and her daughters to move. Now, settled in a new town, she meets her intimidating and attractive neighbor Joe Callahan. The book seems really promising.

2. My Best Friend’s Wedding by Tilly Tennant.

I got a copy of this book from NetGalley for review. I haven’t read any other books by Tilly Tennant so, her writing is completely fresh to me. I was intrigued by the blurb of the book right away. Libby’s whole wedding plan is in place when things fall apart. Fast forward to her best’s friend’s wedding, she meets an alluring stranger Noah and sparks fly. It is a feel-good rom-com type of novel which will be a perfect weekend read for me. I am excited to read this one.

3. Cracked Pots by Heather Tucker.

This is another book I received from NetGalley for review. Usually, I try not to read more than one book from NetGalley, that way, I can get through my personal book collection too. But, now I have fallen behind on the NetGalley reading list. The first thing that drew me to this book for some reason was the title, and after reading the description it piqued my interest even more. The story follows Ari Appleton’s life through traumas and self-discovery. I can’t wait to read this book.

4. The Luncheon by Jeffrey Archer.

I have a copy of the Collected Stories by Jeffrey Archer that I take out to read from time to time. I found The Luncheon the other day. It is a story about a struggling writer who gets roped in somehow to take the wife of a famous actor for lunch. She makes a booking at an expensive restaurant, and the writer worries about the bill. I am just a couple of pages in, but I like it so far. I’ll probably finish it in one sitting sometime this week.
