My reading list for the month of December.
The Earl’s Unlikely Bride by Ella Matthews
I received a copy of The Earl’s Unlikely Bride by Ella Matthews from NetGalley. This book is a historical romance set in the Regency era. It follows Emily, who has been in society for four seasons and is finding it extremely difficult to live with her overbearing mother, and Freddie Dashworth, who returns to his childhood home to care for his niece. Emily and Freddie have been neighbors and nemesis since they can remember. Now, they are forced into close proximity regularly. One discretion, and it changes the course of their life. It’s been a while since I read a regency romance, so I am excited for it.
Three Thanksgiving Kisses by E. P. Roe
Three Thanksgiving Kisses is a short story written by E. P. Roe. This story follows a young woman named Elsie. She is eagerly waiting for her brother to return from college for the holidays, and in excitement, mistakenly kisses his friend instead. This embarrassing instance leads to a budding romance set during the holiday season. I have never read anything by the author before, but I found this story on a podcast, and it seems really interesting.
The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent
The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent is a romantic fantasy book that is the sixth addition to the Crown of Nyaxia series. This book picks up exactly where the previous one ended. Mische made an ultimate sacrifice but plunged the world into eternal night. Meanwhile, Asar has been imprisoned by the gods and is obsessed with revenge and getting Mische back somehow. A goddess offers them a chance at redemption, and Asar and Mische must undertake an extraordinary journey. I loved reading The Songbird & the Heart of Stone, and I can’t wait to start reading this book.
