My reading list for the month of November.
Stars Above The Never Sea by Evelyn Flood.
I received a copy of Stars Above The Never Sea by Evelyn Flood from NetGalley. This is a fantasy romance book and is the first book of The Last Faeyte series. Selene Amaris is a faeyte and has spent a decade in chains after her people were slaughtered. Now, she is on a cargo ship chained again, where she crosses paths with Captain Callan Edgeborn. Selene and Callan have to deal with their pasts and secrets. I am extremely intrigued by the blurb and can’t wait to read it.
Waiting for Sunrise by William Boyd.
Waiting for Sunrise by William Boyd is a book set in Europe before and during World War 1. This historical fiction with thriller elements follows a young actor, Lysander Rief. He begins treatment for a personal problem in Vienna, and then he is led on a journey of espionage and self-discovery in wartime. The historical aspect drew me to the book, and with thriller and spy elements during wartime are really interesting.
The Three Questions by Leo Tolstoy.
The three questions by Leo Tolstoy is a short story. I am intimidated to begin reading Tolstoy, so I am hoping a short story will ease me into it. In the story, a king believes that if he knew the answers to these three questions, then he would never fail at anything. The king announced a reward for anyone who could answer these questions for him.
