My reading list for the month of July.
Crown of Serpents by Lara Reed.
I received a copy of Crown of Serpents by Lara Reed from NetGalley. This fantasy romance book, which is a retelling of the mythological characters of Medusa and Perseus. I enjoy reading stories that have mythological elements or retellings. This book is the first of the Curse of Olympus series and is an enemies-to-lovers story. I am extremely intrigued by this book, and cannot wait to start reading it.
The Secret Fiance by Catharina Maura.
The Secret Fiance by Catharina Maura is the fifth book of the Windsors Series. I enjoyed most of the previous books in the series, the last one being The Broken Vows. This book will follow the story of Lex and Raya. Lex hacks into his family’s system to find out who his grandmother has chosen as his wife because he wants to meet her. Lex meets Raya in normal circumstances, keeping her in the dark about their future. This story will follow the marriage of convenience romance between these two characters. There is little exploration of Lex in the previous books, so I am interested to know how his story will pan out.
If You Leave by Courtney Cole.
If You Leave by Courtney Cole is the second book of her Beautifully Broken series. I read the first book, If You Stay, years ago. I loved it and wanted to finish the rest of the series, but it fell behind. If You Leave is a romance book with darker themes. This book will follow the story of Madison Hill and Gabriel Vincent. Madison is troubled by her past because of her parents and their untimely deaths. Meanwhile, Gabriel is a veteran who suffers from what he endured during his service.
