My reading list for the month of June.

A Kiss of Hammer and Flame by Amy de la Force.

I received a copy of the book A Kiss of Hammer and Flame by Amy de la Force from NetGalley. This fantasy romance book follows the story of Cahra, a young blacksmith. She works with a sword and carves symbols using her imagination. But unknowingly ends up fulfilling a prophecy that speaks of Hael, an immortal being, awakening. Now, Cahra is on the run with the person who commissioned the sword, Terryl. They are on an adventure that will take them on unexpected paths. The whole premise of the book sounds intriguing, and I can’t wait to start reading this book.

The Broken Vows by Catharina Maura.

The Broken Vows by Catharina Maura is the fourth book of her Windsors series. This romance and marriage of convenience story follows Zane and Celeste. Zane and Celeste have been rivals since childhood, but when their paths cross again in business, the lines between hate and love blur. Their relationship comes tumbling down, leading to their separation. Now, Zane’s grandmother wants him to marry Celeste. I am intrigued by Zane and Celeste’s story because they were hinted at in the previous books. I am excited to see how their story unfolds.

The Looking Glass by Anton Chekhov.

The Looking Glass is a short story written by Anton Chekhov. I have read a few short stories by Chekhov, like The Witch, The Lottery Ticket, etc., and always enjoyed them. So, it is easy to pick another of the author’s works. The story follows a young woman, Nellie, who is staring into the mirror, dreaming of the life she will have with her fiancé.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare is a comedy play. The play revolves around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta, and it is set in Athens, Greece. This play has many interconnected subplots and characters that adds to the comedy of the story. It takes me a while to finish reading Shakespeare’s plays, but I enjoy them. It has been on my TBR pile for years; I am happy to finally start reading it.
