My reading list for the month of March.
The Best Wrong Move by Lily Parker.
I received a copy of The Best Wrong Move by Lily Parker from NetGalley. When Olivia proposes to her boyfriend on national television, he says no. To avoid further humiliation with her ex, who is now dating a supermodel. She finds the perfect fake date for herself, Dom, a gorgeous surfer who needs a distraction. When Olivia and Dom’s fake dating starts to feel too real, things change. This book has a lot of tropes that I enjoy. It is a romance novel with fake dating and holiday romance tropes.
The Temporary Wife (Windsors #2) by Catherina Maura.
The Temporary Wife by Catherina Maura is the second book of the author’s Windsors Series. This contemporary romance book focuses on the characters of Luca and Valentina. These two have worked together for years, Valentina is his executive secretary, who is practically his right hand. When Luca’s marriage is arranged by his grandmother, he makes a proposal to Valentina for a marriage of convenience. I enjoyed reading the first book, The Wrong Bride, and Luca and Valentina were introduced in the first book itself. I am intrigued to read a marriage of convenience romance book.
Empire of the Ants by H. G. Wells
Empire of the Ants by H. G. Wells is a science fiction short story. This dystopian short story is about the littleness of humanity and the tenuousness of the dominion Homo sapiens enjoy on the earth. I have never read anything by the author before, but I have seen some of the movie adaptions of his works. So, I don’t know what to expect. But the dystopian storyline is extremely fascinating for me.
