Currently Reading (February ’25). #ThreeSinsandaScoundrel #NetGalley

My reading list for the month of February.

Three Sins and a Scoundrel by Tracy Sumner.

I received a copy of Three Sins and a Scoundrel by Tracy Sumner from NetGalley. I haven’t read any of the author’s works before, but I have a couple of the books on my TBR. This is the last book of the author’s Duchess Society series, and it is the first one I will be reading. I know it might be a little confusing for me to jump to the last book without reading any others, but I love reading historical romances. This book follows the second-chance romance of Cece Willoughby and Jasper Noble.  Cece and Jasper had a passionate affair in their youth before Cece decided to marry someone else to save her family. Now, years later, their paths cross again.

The Wrong Bride by Catharina Maura.

The Wrong Bride by Catharina Maura is the first book of the Windsors Series. Raven has always loved Ares from afar while Ares is engaged to her older sister. When Raven’s sister fails to arrive on her wedding day, Raven is asked to take her place and marry Ares. This contemporary romance novel follows the story of Raven and Ares with tropes of the marriage of convenience and forbidden love vibes, that if done well, I usually enjoy.

The Fiddler by Herman Melville.

The Fiddler by Herman Melville is a short story set in the nineteenth century in the Victorian era.  The short story follows a Hautboy who was once a musical prodigy. Although a great musician, he was happiest when he was away from people and the adulation of crowds. The premise of this story sounds intriguing. I haven’t read anything by Herman Melville before. I am concerned about starting the author’s works with Moby Dick, so I hope this short story will familiarize me a little with the writing.
