My reading list for the month of September.
A Summer to Surrender by Collette Perri.
I received a copy of A Summer to Surrender by Collette Perri from NetGalley. This is a historical fiction romance book, that is the first of The Tempting Tycoon series by Collette Perri. The story follows Phoebe Beaumont, an orphan living with her aunt and the Earl of Westmore, Alexander Stanton. Phoebe is ostracized from society after a scandal and is surprised to be invited to Westmore Country House for a party. Alex and Phoebe didn’t think they would see each other again after their first meeting, but now that they are in the same place, the tensions are running high. It’s been a while since I read a historical romance, so I am excited.
Twisted Games by Ana Huang.
Twisted Games is the second book of the Twisted series by Ana Huang. This romance novel focuses on the slow-burn romance of Princess Bridget von Ascheberg and Rhys Larsen, her bodyguard. The story has tropes that I usually enjoy, like bodyguard romance and forbidden love. As these characters were introduced in Twisted Love, and they were intriguing, I have been waiting to read their story.
