March TBR

The books I added to my TBR in March 2024.

The Dawn of the Cursed Queen by Amber Nicole.

The Dawn of the Cursed Queen by Amber Nicole is the third installment of her Gods & Monsters series. This fantasy romance continues the story of Dianna and Samkiel. These books have fantasy, romance, and action all combined in the best way possible. After the ending of the second, I am excited to find out where and how the characters’ story will move ahead. I loved reading the first two books, The Book of Azrael and The Thrones of Broken Gods, so I cannot wait for this third addition.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a modern classic. I was aware of this book naturally, but I was not sure if I would understand it. Now, I feel like I am ready to read this book, which starts by adding it to my TBR. The story follows Santiago, a shepherd boy who hopes to travel the world and find worldly treasures. His quest leads him to a path, that is better than he could have imagined. It has an interesting premise, and Paulo Coelho’s writing is always deep and layered.

The Last Letter From Your Lover by Jojo Moyes.

The Last Letter From Your Lover by Jojo Moyes is a romantic novel. The story is set in two timelines. One is in the 1960s and follows the character of a housewife Jennifer Stirling. The second timeline is set in 2003, with journalist Ellie discovering a letter and trying to find the story behind it. I haven’t read any of Jojo Moyes’s work before, so I don’t know what to expect. But I watched the movie Me Before You based on Jojo Moyes’ book, and it was emotional. It will be an emotional romantic story which has me intrigued.

Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven.

Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven is a Young Adult novel. The story of the book follows two teenagers, Libby Strout and Jack Masselin. Libby is ready for high school after a trying couple of years. Jack Masselin is the guy everyone thinks they know and has no trouble fitting in. I loved All the Bright Places, which led me to this book. Jennifer Niven’s writing is engaging and emotional. She sensitively deals with mental health issues in her stories. I am sure Holding Up the Universe is an emotional rollercoaster, and I can’t wait to read it.
