The books I have to my TBR this month.
The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods.
The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods is a fantasy and historical fiction. Opaline, Henry, and Martha are the main characters of the book, and it has a dual timeline. This book delves into magical realism. The bookshop on a quiet street that Henry wants to find just happens to be next door to Matha, his new housekeeper. When the bookshop disappears, he enlists Martha to help him find out the history of this bookshop. It sounds extremely intriguing with the fantasy, magical realism, and historical elements together. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
Shadows and Sage (Eternal Alliances #2) by A. N. Payton.
Shadows and Sage is the second book of The Eternal Alliances by A. N. Payton. I enjoyed reading the first book Hellfire and Honey last year and was very excited to receive a copy from NetGalley. It follows the story of Natalie, a witch, and Rayhon, a vampire Marshall. Both these characters were introduced in the first book, and I was interested in knowing more about their story. I hope I will enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first one of the series.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
I have heard a lot of good things about Neil Gaiman’s works, but I have never read any book written by him until now. I plan to start my journey through his works with the American Gods. The story follows Shadow, recently released from prison, and the mysterious Mr. Wednesday, a former God and King of America. It’s an adventure fantasy supernatural book where these two characters travel across the country. The plot gives me vibes similar to the TV show Supernatural; it is one of the reasons I picked it. It looks so interesting. I can’t wait to read it.
